22LG30 LCD TV turn on problems Can't Post

My 22LG30 LCD TV had trouble turning on. The red light would blink, blue light would turn on, the back to red, then no light. Usually, through repeated attempts, I would get the TV to turn on. But the problem got progressively worse until one day it no longer worked. Until this morning. I plug it in and it started working normally. I'd previously tried resetting the TV, removing the power source, etc. Would replacing the "turn on board" be a reasonable solution. It's not worth having fixed. I can get a newer LED/LCD TV for practically the same price.

Carefully open it up and look for anything abnormal, especially puffed-top capacitors.

There is no such thing as a "turn on board." The Main board usually turns on the power supply board (except for standby voltage(s)).

I opened it up and there was a little board attached to the turn on button. It probably just controls the "turn on" process. Makes the LED red in stanby, blink when turning on, then blue when it turns on. I didn't notice anything abnormal, that's why I thought replacing that little board might might be available from LG for repairs. But if it happens again, and that's probably going to be tomorrow, I'll open it up and check the caps. I'll use my multimeter and hopefully find a bad cap. That would be an easy fix. I know for sure it's not the screen itself. Never any problems with that. I wonder, could I bypass that little board and rewire around it? just have to plug it in every tme you want to turn it on. Sounds like a bad idea, but I don't recall seeing any transformers on that little board.
Thanks for your suggestion.

Still think leaking or bulging caps may be your best shot at a 'easy fix.'
