26" Sanyo TV help!! Can't Post

Hello all!

I have a problem with my 26'' Sanyo TV. It was pulled off my entertainment center. It has a rainbow/psychedelic look to the picture. Before I stopped using it, I noticed it gave off a small shock if touched. Any ideas as to what might have happened? If something is broken, about how much might it cost to fix? And if it's unfixxable, is there anyway to salvage my cost of the tv i.e. tv recycling, etc.?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

This is the classic symptom of a slipped shadow mask in the CRT and replacing the CRT will cost almost as much as a new TV. The set has no value unless you have a dealer who accepts trade-ins and then it won't be that much because the dealer is going to have to pay for it's disposal. You might want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/default.aspx?referer=7509165 for an opportunity to earn a free replacement for this set with a little effort on your part.
