I have a 25" RCA Console GMR899PR with a CTC130/A/B/C chassis. Monday I took the back off to replaced the knocker on the front that my little girl had knocked off. Afterwards I turned it on, no problems. Next day when I got home, it would not turn on. Nothing, no sound, nothing. I checked the power surge protecter, everything else worked fine. Moved plugs around, still nothing. I tried a different outlet still nothing. Just one dead TV. I replaced my RCA with an older Sears Console. Friday when I returned home I now had the same problem with it. My wife stated that 3-4 weeks ago we had had an electrical storm that had knocked the power out. She also stated that she heard a loud boom when it happened. I hate to put anything else there until I know why this is happening. I have three other TV's in the house that have not been effected.
