32" phillips sound for 2 secs then shuts off

 32" phillips flat screen, model 32PT6441/37 only 5 months old, I turn it on, the green light comes on, the sound comes on for 2 or 3 seconds, then tv shuts off. There is never a picture. The screen never comes on. Then the green light starts blinking what appears to be a code of 3 flashes, then 2 flashes, then a solid longer flash. Also tv turns off if I hit the menu button on the remote.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
