6,5 MHz to 5,5 MHz Can't Post

Hi All,

I 've just moved to England from Hungary and I had to recognize that the tv standards are different here. I've an old Elekta tv. I opened it, and I had a look at in. It has two 5,5MHz and two 6,5MHz krystal in it. But I don't know how can I use it in England. In Hungary we used 6,5MHz frequency gap between the picture and the sound carrier, here they use 5,5MHz. I think my tv has to work with this frequency gap, but I don't know how, because I still have a good picture, but I don't have sound.

If anybody have an idea what I have to do, please tell me.

Thank you in advance.

Ozzy

Re: [M.Ozzy] 6,5 MHz to 5,5 MHz [In reply to] Can't Post

Hungary TV uses Standard "D" 6.5 Mhz Intercarrier sound.

England TV Smileuses Standard "I" 6 Mhz Intercarrier sound.

Swop the two 6.5's for 6's and that should fix it!

The two 5.5mhz crystal filters probably mean the TV could

be used in Europe countries using Standards B or G ( Germany

Spain Italy Holland )
