Adjusting 60" philips TV Can't Post

I have a 60" philips tv that the picture has slowly been getting blury. I didn't want to mess with it but it got to the point where it was no fun watching. My wife and I don't have the money to get it serviced. I took the back pannel off and we adjusted it ourself. It is 100% better than it was, but we were chasing our tails trying to get it right.
We adjusted the fucus on all three guns to where everything looks crisp (it was blury).
There were a location and fucus knob for each color, a total of six nobs.
We kept adjust all of these and it woudl get better, then worse. With our three year old trying to help we finally just find a decent spot and left it.
Anyway, sorry for the long winded explanation. But we are looking for some sort of prodecure for adjusting this thing. Like which ones to do first, etc. so we are not chasing our tail trying to get the picture right.

I can't find anything like this on the net. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know we can get it right with enough trial and error, but that may take days! I was hoping for a systematic approach for adjusting these thigns.

Thanks,

Matt

Also check each color projector for cloudyness. Should be clear. If not, coolant needs to be replaced.
