Apex AT2704S Turns on and off rapidly Can't Post

Hello Everyone, I am studying to be a TV Repairman and have run into something i have never seen before.
I have an Apex Model# AT2704S 32" TV and for some odd reason when i plug it in, it will turn on and off very rapidly. I opened it up and tested everything i could and found only 1 capicator needed replacing. I replaced it and it still does the same thing.
Now to remind you!!! All i have to do is plug it in and it will turn on and off very rapidly by itself without even physically touch the TV at all.
Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.

I went ahead and decided to check and see if it was the power button. I removed the power button from the board and it still did the same thing.
Something else i need to add is that when i plug it into the wall, it will click like it is trying to come on and then it will click and then start the cycle again. Click on and then click off. Even with the power button completely removed from the unit. I went through the whole board again ohms testing everything and everything is just fine.
This is turning out to be a big issue and hopefully someone from here can point me in the right direction.
I really do not want to give up on this thing, due to the fact that i think that it will bite me in the end and a paying customer will have the same issue and i will not be able to help them.
Thanks,
addy

ther is a short circuit somewhere which is shutting the tv down. disconnect the HOT and see if the 120 volt line starts up feeding the HOT collector.if it is there then the transistor could be shorted or the flyback transformer faulty, or both.

hello again..dont know if this made a difference but i got really upset with the problem i was having and i threw the remote..the batteries were really hot and the tv stopped the channel surfing and turning on and off..so i am assuming it was the remote that caused my problem all along..
