Bad Audio Output	Can't Post

I have a Sanyo Plasma that the audio output is bad. I tried to get the audio from my cable box through surround sound but that didn't work either. The repair shop wanted $400 to fix it. Any ideas? The picture is great just no sound except a slight hum or whine.

Yeah, however I ended up hooking up a sound bar and sub woofer last night run through my cable box and it now works.

Trace the wires from the speakers back to where they connect to the main board and check the caps in that area. They may be smd's.
