Black rectangular area on SONY KV-32xbr45	Can't Post

I have a large black rectangular area taking up most of the lower half of my tv. Has anyone had this problem and how did/do you fix?

I think that you have something with Closed Captions. Try to reset it by remote control. Since the allien is rectangular shape, I think that TV set with out Closed Captions can't produce this picture. This extra option on TV sets can mulfunction.

Ihad the same problem on a 20 inch Zenith. I went into the captions area and found it said text2, I turned captions off and it seems fine now.

I had the same problem on a 20 inch Zenith, I turned the captions off and it works fine now, thanks for the tip.
