Has A/V input jacks?

Sound is muted?
Speakers are 'Off?'
Set is on A/V with nothing connected to jacks?
Does set have pix once vertical is working?

Strange behavior.

Once I supply power and hit the power button. It directly goes to the standby mode. Not turning on or showing previously selected channel. Once I turn on it's directly going to standby.

All channel up down buttons, volume up down buttons from the front panel are able to wake up set from the standby mode.

Today I replaced AN5515 and All the capacitors around it. Measured resistors and found no issues.

What did you mean? it directly goes to standby as soon as I switched the mains ON. I pressed the channel up button and saw an arc. TPW started to emit a noise as before.

Tried removing high voltage flyback output from the tube and TPW is now good..

Bad tube?
Bad flyback?
Bad voltage?

In theory, set should run indefinitely (with sound, but no raster) with the CRT neck board unplugged.

It's running but without sound. (Without any input). When I change channels, flyback sound also changes like a normal TV Shocked

Only TV antenna jack is there. I cannot see any picture too. What I can do is hook and antenna, change channels and hear. I will give a try..

CRT has leaked and fried vertical IC and the resistor. TWP was emitting that noise because of that?

But why can't I hear any sound from the speaker? Why vol up down buttons waking up this set? Crazy

DVD player? (anything with an radio frequency output) .. roof antenna (assumes you still have analog signals or a converter box)?

My guess:

CRT has leaked and fried vertical IC and the resistor. TWP was emitting that noise because of that? vertical output device shorted, took out resistor. If CRT arcs with neck board connected and shuts down set - may possibly take out that again (or other semiconductors) if allowed to continue arcing.

But why can't I hear any sound from the speaker? Why vol up down buttons waking up this set? No input signal and they choose to mute pix/snd without signal? ... Vol up / down are tact switches, which have become erratic. Crazy

Update:
Disconnected HV from the tube,
Connected a long wire to the tuner, and keep hitting channel buttons Mad

I got sound Angelic

As you can see, B+ voltage is 114V seems Okay right? The only issue I have now is CRT neck arc Unsure

A bad CRT still?

You either replace the arcing CRT ... or use the item as a 'Radio.'

Gosh..

It worked for 3 hours and went blank.

No picture, No OSD. Sound okay. Turning G2 up makes the CRT white. Filament lights up no shorts inside the CRT.

Bad vertical IC again?

CRT was exact replacement?

Not the exact part number.

It was also a SHARP (Toshiba manufactured).

8pin, 20inch (Matches) Neck matches. Basically everything matched.

White raster when increasing G2.
