Hey Guys, just got another broken tv that needs a fixin'. It's a Coby 15" LEDTV model 1526. It has a dim blue standby light that gets brighter when you press the power button, the screen doesn't seem to do anything but after a couple of seconds there is a pop from the speakers and the blue light dims again. I don't want to put too much into it but if its a cheap fix I wouldn't mind another TV.
I visually do not see any damaged parts on the power board or the main board. I have read a couple of places where the capacitors are very cheap and when replaced fixed the issue but none of mine look bulging or leaking.
Each of the boards on ebay run about 15-20 bucks but I don't want to buy both and its a back light problem, so if anyone has any advice as to where to go from here to eliminate whether is a power issue, mainboard, or screen issue I would appreciate it very much.
