Dead Magnavox Please Help!	Can't Post

Hello

Please help me i have a magnavox 56" and i want nothing more then to fix it.

Model #6p5451 C101, Chassis #ptv750 ah01

When i say Dead i mean it. There is no clicking or even a led on. I checked all the easy stuff, fuse/bad connections.
I have a schematic. If anybody might know what part(s)
could cause this. let me know. I think it would be the power supply how would i go about finding what's wrong?

So what could it be please help me and reply.

Since you have a map, first thing is to locate the output of the power supply to determine if there is any life there at all. You're looking for the B+voltage (it may or may not be regulated at that point). I try to measure across the main filter capacitor terminals(carefully, of course)...if you find voltage there, move on to the collector of the horizontal output transistor.. the B+ should be there, and the horizontal section must be working for anything else to happen.. I'm not familiar with this chassis, so these are just some things to try that you might look at with any set. Perhaps someone with experience with Magnavox will be of more help...in any case, good luck, and please post back with the outcome.... Smile
