Digihome 39" LED TV Fault

Good afternoon,
I have a Digihome 39" LED TV (model number 39DLED167) that has been going faulty intermittently for the last few months but now wont turn on to a picture at all.
When i switch it on the red light blinks and you can see the back light come on then within 2-3 seconds the back light goes off for 2-3 seconds then back on etc and continues in this cycle for about a minute before it goes back onto standby with the light solid red. It will respond to the remote to turn it on but not while it is in the cycle described above.
Any ideas? Having read a number of forum posts about similar issues with other manufacturers TV's it has been described as a PSU capacitor issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
