Funny story about Zenith tv Can't Post

My grandpa and grandma moved into their new house in 1995 and bought a new Zenith 25" tv. It worked for years until the picture started acting up they would have to hit it to straighten it. One evening grandma was in the kitchen making fish. She thought she smelled smoke. Grandpa said it was probably the fish. Grandma went in the living room and black smoke was coming out of the tv. They took it out in the yard. Grandpa was too busy watching the news to notice. Is this common?

Usually Zeniths are like old soldiers. They just fade away.
