Ghosts on the screen	Can't Post

We have a Zenith TV that has worked fine until two days ago. The problem is that after it's shut off, either with the remote or with the controls on the set, the program is still faintly visible on the screen, even though it's very dark. The sound can also be heard faintly. We have resorted to unplugging the set when not in use, but there should be something that can be done? Any suggestion will be appreciated.

A model number for the set would be helpful but it sounds like the power relay may be hanging up with a high resistance contavt between the contacts causing a low B+ to be supplied to the set keeping it on but at a reduced level. Either that a high resistance path between the relay terminals such as a carbon path the the PC board.
