HITACHI 42HTX42 U back light or backlight inverter?	Can't Post

I have minimal knowledge of tv repairs but I'm attempting to repair my one. The Hitachi splash screen comes on full color then couple seconds later it's all black/dark however if I shine I torch in an upwards direction I can see a very faint/dim picture So there is a picture but it's dim any ideas?
also is the inverter on the power supply or separate

Can one assume that there IS audio?

Googling number above gives: 8 results (0.32 seconds), not nearly enough for such a well known Brand television that's been available for more than ONE day.

I'd suggest you get the RIGHT number and try again.
