Hitachi 51F500A Screen Burn-in Can't Post

Hi, I need some advice. I have a 4 year old Hitachi 51F500A 51" rear projection HDTV that has some pretty mean screen burn in from watching 4:3 channels not on stretch.
Im asking basically what parts are usually replaced to fix screen burn in on rear projection TVs? Is it the screen or the guns?
Does anyone here know what those parts cost?
Is it cost effective to repair this on a 4 year old TV that cost $1,300 originally?

The 3 CRTs will cost you anywhere from $100 to $300+ each.

If it were my TV I would just have to live with the slightly darker edges....

or.... Sly If I was feeling lucky and experimental I would put the TV in 4:3 mode, turn on a stationary ALL WHITE scene, and attempt to slowly 'burn' the unburned portion of the screen... This could, in a sense, correct the burns. (Sacrificing a little brightness in turn)

(bear in mind, this idea is probably insane...)

Now theres another great idea that wont work, And you never even thought of darkening the tube faces on the brighter parts.

Darkening the tube faces..... What an idea!
Why did that never cross my mind? =)

Just curious how you would go about darkening the lighter areas?
