Hitachi C28WD2TN randomly switches off and back on

As the subject says, I have a nearly 5 year old Hitachi TV that has taken to switching off, then straight back on again, all of its own acord. There seems to be no pattern to it, sometimes it will not happen for days then it will happen 3 times in a single evening.
Any ideas?
