How to degas a Toshiba 36A50? Can't Post

I placed my subwoofer under one corner of my tv.I got a green half moon design on the screen.

I unplugged the tv for a couple of hours and it disappeared. But I still get wavey bubbble like images when a solid back drop appears on the screen. It's shaped and moves like the color bubbles you see in the lamps that are found stores with blacklights and posters etc.

TVs have an automatic degaussing system which activates each time that you turn on your TV. Try turning the set off and on a few times letting it cool down between cycles and see if that does the trick. In a pinch, I have used an electric drill motor to degause a PIX. Just turn the drill on and hold it close to the face of the PIX. You should see a rainbow affect in its immediate vicinity. Move the drill in a circular motion around the face of the tube and slowly move it away before turning it off.
