JVC AV-56WP74 Can't Post
I have recently reclaimed this to next to a dumpster and was wondering how to repair it. It appears to have the convergence issue I've read about here. There are red lines across the display that form sine waves? I navigated to the auto convergence setting in menu and the red jvc logo flickers badly and red seems all out of wack. I'm a novice tv repairman (but not afraid of a soldering iron) so any thought are much appreciated. <br>

Thanks Jim. I've ordered a "convergence repair kit" from a hopefully reputable dealer. Been awhile since I've desoldered anything so it should prove to be interesting. [r

I was planning on getting a video done on correct soldering techniques. I see a lot of info on the web, but very little is done correctly.

I don't remember off the top of my head what that model takes, but make sure they are original Sanyo brand amps.

I have read that original equipment was important so my kit comes with Sanyo amps. Kit also comes with resistors and pictorial instructions for easy repair lol. Cost a little extra but I'm lazy Smile and I'm not going to lose my mind if I cant fix it. As to soldering techniques I've seen alot of nonsense as well and I'm just an amateur.
