Find your favorite search engine. Enter the following: FULL LG MODEL NUMBER + Owners manual.

Instructions on how to operate each feature of your TV is in the user manual.

Check pages 28-31 of the users manual. They are simple instructions and do not require an engineer. If you do not have the manual, post back and I'll tell you how to get one.
Then you chime in with your post from the user manual...
(BTW, THANKS for that part)
THREE EXCELLENT techs here ALL said the same thing...
In summary;Get the manual & READ IT !!!!
IF he needed help with that , we'd have done so...
When he has the FULL manual for HIS TV , he can & should read the pertinent part & try to fix his TV...
Screwing around blindly like he did can & apparently did cause more confusion or a bigger problem..
The picture is now fine apart from it being split down the middle one half says XD ON the Other says XD OFF so how do i select the on or off ???? this is driving me crazy lol
That is WHY they suggested he get the user manual...
Now my opinion;....

In wont let me access the menu through the remote or the TV
IF he is using the ORIGINAL remote CORRECTLY , he most likely has a problem with the TV...
He says;"no menu" using the remote...
IF he is using a generic remote , that could be his problem...
Anyways , ya all have fun with this....
