LED type for LG backlights.	Can't Post

I'm wondering if anyone knows what kind of LEDs the backlights use in LG tvs. Particularly a LG 42LN5300-UB with panel LC420DUE SFR1. The strip is a 6916L-1217A. I had three bad leds which I replaced to prove the strip still works. The only thing I do know about the LEDs are that they are smaller then 5050 SMD and have a blueish color. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I just recently worked on a Vizio that had NO backlights...
That TV has the SAME LED strip(s) as your TV...
I found it IMPOSSIBLE to replace individual LEDs & opted to replace the whole strip...
Much easier & a helluva of a lot less frustrating...
Then there's the fun of replacing the little clear round diffusers..
Your strip (6916L-1217A) is ONE of 10 strips in your TV...
I had SIX bad strips in my TV & it was a costly affair to get up & running...

This seller is a bit pricey , but , if you shop around , you should find one cheaper...

I did change the LEDs, which was frustrating by I've changed 0603 which are much smaller. I've found shopjimmy sells all 10 strips and the green board for my TV @ 69.95 when in stock. From that I'm thinking the eBay prices are high too. Do you still have any of your bad strips?

Shopjimmy was high on my strips as well....
The eBay strip is selling for $15.00 + $8.00 for s&h...

Yes , I still have ALL the bad strips as the TV also has another problem that I'm working on... Mad

When you fix your TV, could we talk about purchasing a bad strip so I could salvage 3 LEDs?

Don't forget to turn the back light intensity down or (especially as you're using 'used LEDs,') the problem will redevelop quickly.
