LG 42LD550-UB Screen issues Can't Post

Hello,

I have a LG 42LD550-UB that has been a great TV with no issues since I bought it. I've been dealing with a screen issue that has slowly started happening more and more. I dealt with this issue 2-3 times last winter and the issue suddenly went away. It has since came back, the last two nights it's happened back to back. I notice this issue usually happens at night after it's been off for a couple of hours. This never happens in the morning, it's fine with no issues. An example is if it's been on during the day and we return from dinner after being gone for a few hours it happens. It turns on just fine with no issues at all, the picture is fine as well. However after 5-10 minutes is when the issue starts, about 95% of the screen will freeze while the top 5% of the screen is fine with no issues. There's no sound issues at all. The frozen bottom part will slowly turn blackish/grey with some lines and show the back light. Every now and then the picture will come back for a short while and freeze again instantly. This will happen over and over again until I turn it off. The only thing that seems to fix it is to turn it off for 5-10 minutes or unplug it for 5-10 minutes.

I'm also noticing right now as I'm typing this that even though the freezing stopped the TV is now randomly blinking every 4-5 minutes. It's just one random blink to black every couple of minutes, but the sound is fine.

I've been searching all over for the past 48 hours and cannot find an answer or anything similar. I really hope it's something easy to fix, I noticed parts for my TV aren't easy to find :(. This really stinks right before the holidays.

Here's 2 pictures of the freezing that is going on:
