LG 50ps3000 half screen Can't Post

Hi all.

I have an LG 50ps3000 plasma TVs which shows no picture in the top half of the screen. After doing some reading I figured it was the top Y buffer and replaced it but it is still the same!

Can anyone advise what else it might be? Y-sus? Something else?

Thanks

Double check to see if you have the ribbon cable connected properly that goes between the upper & lower buffer board. Maybe while you're at it check the ribbons that lead out to the panel as well to make sure they are seated deep enough into the new buffer board. Lift the clip on the back edge of the sockets to a 90 degree position & seat the ribbons as deep as they'll go the snap the clip back down (compare them to the lower buffer board connections)

Also check & clean the ribbon cable that leads between the logic board & the Ysus board (right edge of the Ysus board near the bottom). It too has a clip you'll need to lift (it's a tinier version of clip to the clips on the buffer board)

Check for open fuses on the Ysus board & the Zsus board.

If you had any connections off on the Zsus board (the board to the right of the TV when looking in from thr back) be sure they are seated properly again.

There is also a chance you purchased a bad upper buffer board.

Thanks Repair Man for your reply.

I have checked all of the connections and they all seem to be ok. Not really sure about checking for open fuses so I left that.

One thing I did notice is that the lines on the screen are not as bad with the replacement buffer board as they are with the original one.
Don't know if that means anything?

Scott
