LG 60PA6500 - Is this a small crack?

I have a LG 60PA6500 (plasma) which now has a thin black horizontal line 2 inches (5cm) from the top of the screen. Towards the right, there is a line which spans the distance between the top of the screen and the thin black line. It is a couple of pixels wide at most, and is white with other colors flickering through it (e.g. blue, yellow). Both of these lines remain regardless of the input/source and channel. The white line is not as obvious at a distance on certain color backgrounds (see pictures below). Perhaps most importantly, there is a small dark dot (maybe 2 pixels wide) at the intersection of these two lines when the plasma is off. I imagine this is the likely cause of all my troubles. It seems too much of a coincidence. The TV had previously had no picture at all, but sound coming through the speakers. I replaced the upper & lower Y buffer boards and the picture returned with the abovementioned lines. I made the decision to replace the Y buffer boards on the basis of stable voltages (i.e. VS, VA, 5v) and all other heatsinks warming up except those of the Y buffer boards. Is anyone able to tell me for sure what I'm dealing with? Is it a dead pixel or a small crack? I understand it is unlikely to be fixable without replacing the plasma/glass array. Nevertheless, I'd be very grateful for your opinion - if only to learn something.
