I believe the inverter board is faulty, need help on testing the board to find out which component(s) are faulty

Most of these you have to fix cold as there is no way to test live. The inverter board is just a chopper supply feeding several little transformers which are in effect starters for the backlamps. The usual is chech the driver transistors for shorts and check the transformer resistance. You have several so check each reads the same. failing that and I just did 2 BENQ with a backlamp out at 4 years so thats your likely.

ok, all transistors and transformers appear fine and the caps linked to the transformers
