Logik LOG32LW782 LCD TV Problem - No picture or sound

Hi all,
Newbie here, I have a Logik 32" LCd TV that was brought from currys approxx 2 years ago, however it seems to have died on me, When i turn it on i get the blue light at the bottom of the tv however e=when i then presss a channel the light dims, then goes out for approx 1-2 secs and comes back on, The screen does not flicker nor do i have any sound. Can anyone help me as to what the problem is and if i can fix it by myself? I have spoken to currys and they are not willing to help unless i pay them £169.00!! Thanks all
