Loose coax connector causing screen blackout Can't Post

Subject pretty much says it all. Magnavox model# 43585253. Coax connector in back of TV is loose. Screen goes black but comes back when you jiggle connector. Still have sound. Thanks for any help.

A bad tuner will normally result in the lose of both video and sound. Your symptom sounds more like a bad solder joint or cracked PC board, in the video section, which makes contact when you flex the board when jiggling the connector. Using a non-conductive probe, probe around the board to see if you can isolate the offending area and then use a magnifying glass to see if you can spot the problem. You might also want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/?r=10948674 for an opportunity to earn a free replacement for this set with a little effort on your part.
