Lower channels static can't see anything until unit warms up

It's a Mitsbishi 52-inch rear projection about 8 years old. When unit is first turned on all channels up to 55 are static, no picture no sound just a noisy snowstorm. 55 and higher are okay. Then after 20 minutes or so, all channels are clear. Any ideas? Thanks!
