Magnavox 26MF231D/37 Shrieks & Shuts Down	Can't Post

Hey all,
I'm new to the forum and I'm having a very odd problem with my Magnavox LCD Flat Screen TV. The set will turn on and boot up. However even if left alone for 20-30 minutes, the tv will suddenly black out and make a loud terrible shrieking noise for about 3-4 seconds and then shut itself off. After about 3 seconds the tv will reboot and work perfectly again, for about 10-15 minutes before shrieking and shutting off again. The cycle goes 3 times and finally the tv will not boot again.

I'm thinking it might be a board or something to that effect. Any help would be appreciated.

There are a couple electrolytic caps on the power supply board that go bad in that model that could cause that problem. You'll know if they're bad because they'll be bulged on the top.

Other than that you may have a bad main board or something wrong with the inverter.
