tAnK;.... Also, don't let Ron get to you Gus. Time for you & I to get a few things straight.... 1st off , a few direct quotes from the "horses" mouth (Gus67)==>.... I am an Electronics tech, but really have never worked on TV's before. Here's more;==> I work on Industrial Electronics.I have never even opened a television.I have read a few books on TV repair..Old books...A Projection TV is Greek to me.. More;==> For 15 of the 20 years I worked in Electronics,One of the products I supervised was the production of laser diameter gauges.. There's more , but , that would be overkill.... This guy signed up on Nov 23, 2009 , I helped him fix his TV , & now he thinks he's a TV expert... The worst part about this is you bought it !!!! There are several well qualified TV techs here , but Gus67 is NOT one of them...PERIOD !!! Granted , Gus67 , IS a smart man , BUT he's also a smart ass that turns people off away from him... Another "gem" from Gus67;==> Sometimes I come across angry..it's a gift of mine, unfortunatly I also look angry in person as well, but I am really a fun guy..misunderstood both verbaly, visualy and in written form. You have to know me to understand. My wife always laughs at me when I get involved in these forums..she always asks..who did you p**s off now? It's always someone...everytime... NUFF SAID ! ! ! It IS your right to choose who you accept help from.... It is ALSO my right to refuse to give advice to who I choose... I gave you truthful info about Gus67... If you don't accept it , fine , not my problem...You lose , I do not .... Thanks for your advice as well Ron but that was not the proper way to give our your opinions, it was quite rude and inappropriate. It was NOT "rude" & it WAS appropiate.!!!!... What IS the "proper" way to give ones oppinion ??? It was/is honest & truthful... Take it OR leave it... Your Call... One last bit of advice about your TV;... Replace C2465 10ufd 160volt exactly or a 10mfd @ 250 vdc.... A 22mfd "may" do the job initially , but "may" not be long lived... Use the original type & value to be sure... That makes 3 of us saying the same thing.... Finally;... NOT mentioning anyones names here...BUT... If you're going to have spagetti for brains , be sure you have enough sauce !!! tAnK;.... Good Luck... Later...Ron.M....... Veteran & Retired TV technician
