Magnavox TUNER issue

Hey Al,
My problem is simple. Someone was disconnecting the coax cable on my magnavox MS2730C221 when the female pin reciever sticking out of the back of the TV fell off. If I just solder this back on, will the connection work again or do I need to replace the entire tuner? If I need to replace the tuner, do you think this is something I can do myself or should I take it in to get it fixed?
