Mitsubishi 40" tube may have been hit by lightning Can't Post

Hello,

I've been out of town for a week and came home today to some bad news. My brother-in-law was house sitting and said we had some bad lightning storms while we were away. He discovered that the TV was plugged directly into the wall socket instead of the surge protector (stupid of me). We have since tried to turn everything on and everything works except the TV. The power light comes on very dimly and now it blinks. It used to be a strong green light. I'm getting sound from the cable box through my receiver but nothing on the screen.

The TV is a 1995-1996 Mitsubishi 40" tube TV. Model number is CS-40507. I haven't done anything yet as far as calling anyone to come look at it. I've searched this site for common issues and I just need a little guidance. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've also hit the AV reset button on the set. Frown

Thanks for any responses.
