Mitsubishi 50605, horizotal blur, need HELP!!

Okay all you think-tankers, I have challenge for ya...I have a Mits 50605, projection tv abt 3 yrs old, Picture is pretty much gone, has a horizontal blur going on. Sound is good, tried all inputs, except DVD, and no luck. Menu screen is legible. TV was given to me, previous owner was quoted $900 to fix!! The # on card is 930B857 I was told the PIP by-pass wouldn't work on this set by "PIP By-Pass Fix" seller of E-Bay, I don't know? Please lead me to a solution, nothing but dead ends so far. All the solutions mention a (PV) plug, mine has no such plug to "unplug" Any valid help is much appreciated, Thanks
