Mitsubishi 55" big sceen TV WS 55807 power supply

Just received a 55". People said thier kid was playing with the remote and then they couldn't figure how to reset the TV. I thought it was a programming situation or a parental lock out feature, but NOOooo, I am finding out it is a power supply problem and they may cost approx. $400 plus extra parts involved plus service for which I am but a simple owner of a dead unit who may be using this TV as an boat anchor instead. I am desperately asking for any/all responses for info on how to obtain a power supply cheaply or at all. Thank you for reading this and any response.
