Mitsubishi CS-31MX1 White Screen of Death

I have a Mitsubishi CS-31MX1 made in 1992. The other night I turned the TV off and right after it turned off as normal, the whole screen went pure white. So I tried to turn the TV back on, but there not response to any of the buttons. So, I unplugged the TV for a few minutes. When I plugged it back in (not turning it on) the white screen came back. I then hit the power button and the TV turned on as normal. Then I turned it off and it went to the unresponsive white screen of death. The only way to actually turn the TV is by unplugging it. So I left it unplugged for a couple days, came back, and the problem was still there. I'm sure this is a sign of the TV being on the way out. Any ideas what this is a symptom of? Or how long I have until it's dead?
