Mitsubishi Medallion WS55411 55" No Picture

I own a Mitsubishi Medallion WS-55411. Recently, while playing a DVD, the picture lost all red hue, and for about 60 seconds afterward, it projected in green and blue only. Then, the green and blue disappeared and the picture was only displayed as an outline on a gray background. After about 15 more seconds, the picture then became a faint outline on a blue background, which then went black. The picture momentarily returned, but then faded to black and now no display is shown on any input. The set turns on, I hear static as I use the remote to browse through inputs, there’s just no picture. Do I need a replacement lamp, or is there a larger problem taking place that will require diagnostics?
