Mitsubishi VS-4501R Problem

Good day.
I was watching a college football game on my Mitsubish VS-4501R ( about 17 years old ) and during the game, red, green, and blue flashed across the screen like lightning. Now when I go to turn on the TV, it powers up, clicks, then powers off.
Any suggestions for a course of action? Diagnosis? Anything would be appreciated.
