Mitsubishi WD-82738 Color Wheel Sensor Can't Post

I have an 82" Mitsubishi DLP TV that started having color wheel issues after I replaced the bulb. Research has indicated that a sensor on the color wheel is overheating, likely due to the new bulb generating much more heat than the old bulb. I bought just the sensor, the Sharp GP2S40, but then I realized the board on my color wheel doesn't use a sensor with pins, the sensor was built into the board (i.e. not soldered). I have found several Photo Sensor Boards that look identical to this one, that were used in previous Mitsubishi models, just not same model number for the board. Any idea what the odds of compatibility are?

Most Mitsubishi TVs do NOT like generic bulbs ... exact replacement only.
