Mitsubishu VS-45609 Shuts off

I have Mitsubishi VS-45609 that I purchased used about a month ago. Last week I turned the unit on and it shut off after about 10 seconds. I tried turning it on several times during the day with the same response. The next day and following week it worked fine. It is now having the same problem today. It turns on for about 10 seconds then shuts itself off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Confused.
