My 1989 29" Zenith color TV wont turn on :(	Can't Post

I hope someone can help me. I have an old Zenith TV and when its plugged in, the power wont turn on with the remote or tv but i can hear a slight humming from the back when i listen carefully.

Ummm... a 14 year old 29"? Time for a new one my friend. You can get a brand new 27" for what you would pay to fix that old beast. If you take it to a shop, they will replace modules, which are very expensive. Zenith provides very little support for component level troubleshooting... their TV's are designed (as is their service policy) for module replacement only. Even if you do put the money into it, you've still got a 14 year old TV who's picture tube is due to fail any day.

hey tim, i have a 1990 zenith system 3,that has the same problem as your t.v.. try putting an electric blanket around the t.v., that is what works for me,,then i leave it on all the time, im looking for a power supply,a tech told me they weren't available,someone somewhere has one,,,good luck steve,
