My Sony TV Keeps turning on and off	Can't Post

Hello,

I have a 1 year old Sony TV. Last night the TV kept shutting on and off without me pressing any buttons. I originally thought it was the power source so I plugged into a different outlet but the problem kept occuring. Has this happened to anyone before and can anyone suggest any solutions? Thank you.

Here's a wierd one, but i have seen this before. If you have those screw in flouresent lights, they emit lots of IR that will cause tv's to do strange things.

Other than that, the way sonys are made, if they lose power in the on state, when power is returned they will turn on. Most sets revert to off state with power removed. You could have an intermeittant power supply problem. Check your solder connections in the power supply and flyback areas.
