Where is it you live that it's going to cost you $500 to ship the thing to Philips?

Hey MOtvGuy I have the exact problem on my Philips 30PF9946D 30" LCD - intermittent loss of picture with no effect to sound. I'm an engineer and would like to replace this board myself. Any help you can give me finding one? Or better yet, what is the component on the board that goes bad? I can probably find and replace it. I work in consumer electronics and have any necessary equipment at my disposal.
thanks

Your problem is on the scaler board. You'll have to get the board from Philips directly. The boards are not a component level repairable item. There are no individual parts available.

You wouldn't have the part number or know where I can get one, would you? I called the local authorized Philips Service Center and they told me to pound sand, then I went to PartsStore.com and they have about 500 parts for this model but the verbal descriptions are rather cryptic and obviously the part numbers alone don't help much.
Any direction here would be appreciated. I know I can easily replace this thing myself if I get a hold of one.
