Panasonic 31" with pinkish hue Can't Post

My 31" Panasonic Black Tube, which is approximately 7 years old (CT.....) suddenly started having problems. When turned on, the picture has a pink hue. This can last for anywhere from 3 minutes to 2 hours but does eventually go away. I currently is connected to a Panasonic VCR. I removed it and connected directly to cable. Still has the problem. Anyone with the same problem?

if you know how to use a soldering iron...
UNPLUG TV FIRST
take back off of set.
on the back of the crt (tube) there is a small board with (typically) three heavy duty transistors. tap on the board lightly in all areas (while watching the tv, or have someone watch it for you) to see if you have a bad soldering connection, don't bang too hard or the crt will break. if you see changes as you tap the board, look for cold solders there are hairline cracks around the pins, looks kinda like this (.) make sure you have good light, and i use a 4x maginfying glass, it helps.
