Panasonic 36" HD CT-36HX72F Problem

Hi all, I have a 2 year old (June 2003), Panasonic 36" High-Definition, model #: CT-36HX42F.
It has some sort of power problem I am assuming, because by no means am I an electrical engineer.
Here is the problem, I turn on my TV, the red LED comes on, then about 3 seconds later, it turns off. When it turns off, in the back you can hear some sort of clicking noise.
Also, for a little bit more information, when I do turn the TV on, it doesn't have picture/sound, it turns off before it gets that far.
Is this something I could easily fix myself maybe? In my area there aren't any technicians who can come out to my house to have a look at it. And the nearest TV repair station is about 45 miles away.
