Panasonic CT36G24A high pitched noise	Can't Post

HELP! OMG when this high pitched sound comes from the TV it's unbearable! We have the volume all the way down on the TV and have everything running though our surround sound system. The TV was given to us because it had this high pitched noise problem on and off, so we thought by using a surround sound system rather than the TV speakers we might not hear it but no such luck! When the surround sound is left on and the TV is turned off the high pitched sound goes away. It's an on again off again problem. It seems to come and go as the picture changes, but I haven't really found the reason why it happens. PLEASE help! This noise is killing my ears!

Something is vibrating, usually a small coil, but can be the yoke around the tube. Can be difficult to find and as the only way to do that is to open the TV and run it, its not really a fault for the amateur.
