Panasonic TC-PS50S30 Not Powering On

Hi! My parents have a Panasonic TC-P50S30 that was manufactured in December 2011 which stopped working a couple days ago. I was not involved in the moving of the TV from another room over a year ago so unfortunately I didn't know it wasn't plugged into a surge protector. There were two huge thunderstorms in my area a couple days ago and I think that killed the TV. I have followed the advice on https://www.justanswer.com/tv-repair/701xz-panasonic-50-plasma-tv-not-working.html and opened the back. All the fuses on the power board test OK with my multimeter and I get ~122.8V going into the power board. The capacitors look fine and so do the solder joints but of course I could be missing something, like a failed IC regulator as the advice said in the link above. I found a board for $37 on ebay. Worth it to just do that?
