Panasonic TX-P46Z1B HDMI fault Can't Post

After years of daily use, TV screen suddenly shows error "No signal. Please check the connection." I've tried connecting other pieces of equipment and they recognise the TV is connected, but nothing appears on the screen apart from the error message. Removed rear cover and everything appears okay. I'd be very grateful for any advice.

Does the item you use daily work properly when its HDMI cable is plugged into ANOTHER TVs HDMI connector?
&
Does a properly working HDMI component that's normally hooked to a different TV work in any HDMI connector of the Panasonic TV?

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, both items (a Sky HD box and a Mac laptop) work when connected via HDMI to another TV.

There is only one HDMI socket on this TV so I can't try another socket.

I should also point out that nothing had changed before the set developed the fault - it was in daily use as a TV hung on the wall.
