Philipis 43p8341 43in. Powers off after only a few seconds. HELP!

I have the philips 43 in projection TV. It is only 13 months old. 1 month out of warranty. When I power it on the screen comes on just fine and the sound too, but only after a few seconds it turns off by itself. Then when you try to turn it back on the light comes on for the power then go right back off. I think the tv is fine. I think I am having a problem with a resistor or somthing. Anybody know what could be causing this. I thought I would give this a shot. Philips says it will cost 600 bucks to fix but wont tell me what is wrong. Something fishiey there
