Philips 28PT with intermittent distorted picture

TV model: Philips 28PT802B/13
After being on for 3-6 minutes the picture distorts. Top and bottom becomes too wide and the middle portion gets too narrow, like a pillow shape.
Turning it off and leaving for a few hours sometimes sets the picture right. But it is most likely to revert to the distorted picture.
What might be the cause of this?
